The Pioneers Program Experience
Cedarbrook Day Camp offers a dedicated Pioneers Program designed specifically for children ages 3 to 5. Small Groups, Big Attention
Each small group includes 10 to 12 campers and is supported by 3 to 4 staff members to ensure individual attention throughout the day. The program is led by Pioneers Specialists—staff members with focused training and experience working with preschool-aged children. They structure the day around motor skill development, swimming instruction, and guided social interaction to help children build early confidence.
Pioneers Athletics & Arts
Children ages 3 to 5 are introduced to sports through scaled-down versions of classic activities like mini-soccer, t-ball, and beginner gymnastics. All activities are led by athletic specialists trained to work with young children. In our Creative Arts Center, Pioneers explore texture and color through Ceramics, Music, Cooking, and Nature crafts, all designed to develop fine motor skills.
Swimming & Safety
Learning to swim is a core part of the daily schedule. Swim lessons take place each morning in shallow pools specifically designed for young children. Certified swim instructors lead each lesson using gentle techniques to build water confidence.
