What is the Freedom of Choice Program?

In our Freedom of Choice elective program, campers are able to discover new interests, learn new skills, improve their talents, and have fun doing it!

Our innovative program is a significant part of the Cedarbrook Day Camp experience for our campers.  It includes 50+ diverse activities including sports, science, STEM, enrichment, performance and creative arts.  Through our elective program, campers are able to discover new interests, learn new skills and have fun all at the same time!

Our Freedom of Choice elective program is designed for Adventures (grades 1-2), Voyagers (grades 3-4), Explorers (grades 5-6) and Teen Quest (grades 7-9) campers. Campers participate in a perfect mix of traditional group camp activities and enjoy activities they've chosen from the Freedom of Choice elective program!

Here’s How it Works!

 At the beginning of each week Campers/Parents will receive a listing of all the exciting elective activities Cedarbrook is offering during the session.

 Everyday campers during their elective periods can select any elective activity available to their group for this period.*

 Campers can change their electives daily. 

 Some electives require a week commitment.

  Important: We highly recommend that parents help the younger campers select preferred electives and alternative electives for each elective period. 

 Elective Periods are available to campers Monday-Thursday.  Electives occasionally are available on Fridays, however Fridays are Special Event Days for all campers. daily.
