Unfavorable weather can impact the atmosphere of the camp day. How do we handle those scorching or rainy days? We've thoughtfully addressed this concern and created a plan to ensure that our campers' day remains unaffected by the heat or rain.
Since it's summer camp, the weather can be quite unpredictable. To address this, we've developed two schedules for our campers. The first is the official "Weekly Day Camp Schedule", while the second is the "Alternate Day Camp Schedule", specifically tailored for extremely hot or rainy days. This ensures that no matter what nature brings, we're fully prepared to provide an amazing experience for our campers.
Our "Weekly Day Camp Schedule" is the standard timetable encompassing all the fantastic indoor and outdoor activities available at Cedarbrook, along with your campers' chosen activities for the week. The schedule is designed to ensure that all sports activities take place earlier in the day, allowing campers to make the most of the outdoors during the cooler temperatures. This way, they can fully enjoy the experience while staying active and engaged.
Our "Alternate Day Camp Schedule" is designed for days with rain or extreme heat. All outdoor activities are switched to indoor air-conditioned activities in our modern classrooms, gymnasiums, music hall, cooking station, and game rooms. Even on rainy days, we bring the sunshine indoors! When it's hotter, certain outdoor activities like the splash park, water slides, and pool will be available, pending weather conditions for safety. We always have a sunny plan, no matter the weather!
Cedarbrook Day Camp Somerset and Tranquility offer 60,000 to 90,000 square feet of fully air-conditioned space, ensuring our campers can enjoy a wide range of activities regardless of the weather.
